Campaign Born Out of Boredom

Somehow during the week, I found the time to create a demo for a dummy campaign advertising OU Student Media's annual "Job Ready" sessions. The Job Ready series includes mock interviews with professionals and a sweet portfolio contest. I won best design portfolio last year... big achievement, I know.

Anyway, I kind of wanted to equate it to Darwin's natural selection theory, suggesting that people in the department need to evolve with the selection pressure in order to be competitive in internship searches. Unfortunately, I only had time to come up with one sign. The rest of the campaign would be similar but have other allusions to Darwin's theory of natural selection and evolution.

The small text is the definition of natural selection with all the references to organisms and reproduction taken out so it would makes sense in this scenario.

For all those who are in Student Media, I suggest participating in the Job Ready series because it is a great way to tweak and perfect your cover letter, resume, portfolio and interview skills. I got an internship last summer because of it. Oh yeah, and $200 from the portfolio contest. It's a pretty sweet deal.
